Your relationships are yours.

We store the people you add as connections, the moments you log, your profile, and the email you sign in with. Your data is private to you, scoped to your account, and synced securely across your own devices. On Mac, the intelligence that decides who to nudge runs on your device. We don’t sell your data, we don’t show ads, and we don’t track you across other apps or websites.

To make Friendly Intelligence work, we keep:

• Your account. The email address and invite code you sign up with. Sign-in is handled by Firebase Authentication; your password is managed securely by that service and is never visible to us.
• Your profile. Your name, an optional profile photo, and — if you use the Mac app — a short list of “about you” topics it distills from your own sent messages (for example, “started a new job”) so your message drafts can sound like you.
• Your connections. The people you add and the details you save about them — their name, phone number, email, and an optional photo, how often you’d like to reach out, and the interests and topics you want to remember.
• Your moments. The interactions you log — calls, messages, and time together — along with any notes you write.
• Recent message context (Mac). So your other devices show the same context your Mac has, a limited set of recent message snippets, the most recent message, and the summaries, tone, and nudges the Mac app derives from them are saved to your account. Your full message history stays on your Mac — we never upload all of it.

All of this lives in your own account on Google Cloud Firestore and syncs across your devices. It belongs to you.

On Mac, Friendly Intelligence reads your messages locally to understand the rhythm of your conversations, and the intelligence that decides who to nudge runs on your device. To give your iPhone and the web the same context, a limited set of recent message snippets and the summaries and topics derived from them are saved to your own private account (see “What we store” above).

We use the information above for one purpose: to make the app work for you — to sync your connections across your devices, surface gentle and well-timed nudges, and let you pick up right where you left off. That’s it.

We do not use your data for advertising, we do not sell or rent it, and we do not track you across other apps or websites. There are no feeds and no noise.

We don’t sell your data or share it for advertising. We rely on a small number of trusted infrastructure providers who process data only to deliver the service on our behalf:

• Google Firebase (Authentication and Cloud Firestore) — secure sign-in and the private, per-account storage that syncs your connections across your devices.
• Vercel — hosting for this website.

These providers process standard technical information (such as your IP address) as a normal part of delivering and securing the service. We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the safety and rights of our users.

Your connections are yours to manage. Inside the app you can view, edit, and delete your contacts and logged moments at any time. Deleting your account removes your data from our systems. If you’d like a copy of your data or help deleting it, just reach out and we’ll take care of it.

Friendly Intelligence is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under the minimum age required in your region). If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we’ll remove it.

If we make a meaningful change to how we handle your data, we’ll update this page and refresh the date above. We’ll aim to keep it in plain language, just like this.
